Comment from Todd Engstrom:

St. John PM Campus,

First, I am so grateful for your continued pursuit of Christ and the mission to make disciples in the city of Austin and the nations…your campus is a consistent encouragement to me!  May God continue to empower you with the Spirit to proclaim the word of God!

Second, I know we all dearly love Pete, and I want to exhort you to love and serve his family well in this coming season as they prepare to depart Austin and go to the nations.  I pray we will be like the Ephesians when Paul departed for Rome:

Acts 20:36-38

36 And when he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all. 37 And there was much weeping on the part of all; they embraced Paul and kissed him, 38 being sorrowful most of all because of the word he had spoken, that they would not see his face again. And they accompanied him to the ship.

May the St. John PM campus grieve that we our sending a brother, but do it with hope because we will see him again one day in glory, and I pray you would “accompany him to the ship” in this next few weeks.

Also, moving forward, myself and the elders want to invite you into a season of prayer as we seek the Lord in this interim season at the campus.

Stephen Crawford and James Hart will continue to lead your campus over the summer alongside our exceptional deacon team (William and Nicole Ball and Neill and Felicia Fuller), and our St. John elders (see the bottom of this page) will certainly be present and available should you need anything at all!

Please know that I love you dearly as a campus, that I am praying for you to experience the grace of God more fully, and I am available for anything you may need or questions you may have until I depart for a sabbatical on May 15th.  If you’d like to get ahold of me, email me at todd@austinstone.org or call me at (512) 381-3189.

It’s a grace and a joy to serve with such amazing saints of God!
